January 27, 1982Mary NIXON dies at 61
Mary A. NIXON, 61, Route 4, Fairfield, died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday at the Ottumwa Hospital.
Services have been tentatively set for 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Raymond Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Members of the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The daughter of Clifford and Gertrude GIBERSON TEETER, she was born Feb. 4, 1920 at Fairfield. She had been a resident of Jefferson and Van Buren Counties most of her life.
Her marriage to Vern NIXON took place in November, 1937, in Missouri.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. NIXON is survived by five children: Melba, Fairfield; Wayne and Gary, Des Moines; Marilyn, New York City; and Donna, Fairfield. One grandchild also survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and a sister.

Admin. note: Buried in Lot 4th.112 with husband Vern who died in 1988.
