McFARLAND rites set

Mildred R. McFARLAND, 59, Route 1, Lockridge, died at 3:57 a.m. today at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Foursquare Church with the Rev. Donald Hickman officiating. Interment will be in the Bonaparte Cemetery. The Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mildred R. McFARLAND was born Oct. 14, 1919, in Fairfield. She was the daughter of Fred S. and AddaBelle Fern PLATT DOUTHART.

She was reared and educated in Fairfield and was a member of the Foursquare Church.

Her marriage to Keith E. McFARLAND took place Jan. 16, 1946, in Fairfield. Her survives. The couple lived in Bonaparte and West Branch before moving to Lockridge in 1976.

In addition to her husband Mrs. McFARLAND is survived by one son, Gary, Oxford; and two step-grandchildren.

Also her mother who lives in Bonaparte; two sisters, Helen Louis PUFFINBARGER, Birmingham; and Delores D. HOUSER, Glendive, Mont.; and three brothers, Ralph E. DOUTHART, Bloomfield; Kenneth L. DOUTHART, Bonaparte; and Courtland L. DOUTHART, Fairfield. Mrs. McFARLAND was preceded in death by her father, three brothers and a sister.
