Death takes Alvin BROWER

Word has been received here of the death og Alvin E. BROWER, 58, former resident of Fairfield. He died Jan. 11 at Lutheran Hospital in Moline, Ill.

While a resident of Fairfield he was associated with Hile Chevrolet, sales and service.

He was born May 27, 1923, at Spirit Lake and married Bernice WELLMAN in March, 1944. She died in September, 1967. He later married Margaret PEPPER who survives.

BROWER was a former owner and operator of BROWER Airways and A.D. Travel, Inc., at Fort Madison. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Forced.

He is survived by four sons, six daughters, six grandchildren and his parents who reside in Leesburg, La.

Services were held Wednesday at the Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison with burial in Gethsemane Cemetery.
