Nila Mae Bisgard
November 13, 2003Nila Mae Bisgard, 71, of 402 W. Madison Ave., died at 7:45 a.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at her home.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Marvin Robeck officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Committal services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at South Walnut-Lutheran Cemetery near Graettinger, with the Rev. Keith Lingwall officiating.
Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to hospice or First Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Bisgard was born Dec. 10, 1931, in Pender, Neb., the daughter of Charles and Anna Maas Brawner. She married Earl W. Bisgard Jan. 21, 1951, in Graettinger.
Mrs. Bisgard graduated from Ruthven High School with the class of 1950. She has lived for 36 years in the Fairfield community. She was an employee of J & B Plastics Company for 28 years.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Fairfield Square Dance Club, Heritage Club of First National Bank and the Boutique Club. Her pastimes included spending time with family and playing cards.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Dennis Bisgard and wife Patti of Chariton, Darrel Bisgard and wife Brenda of Fairfield and Donald Bisgard and wife Coleen of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; one daughter, Diane Bissig and husband Jim of Mason City; 11 grandchildren; and two sisters, Norma Larson of Ruthven and Gloria Keefer of Iowa City.
Mrs. Bisgard was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gerald Bisgard.
