Gilbert PRUDEN Rites Thursday

Gilbert D. PRUDEN, 60, long time resident of the Fairfield Community, died at 12:25 a.m. today at the University Hospital in Iowa City. He had been ill since September.

Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. E. Wayne Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Gilbert D. PRUDEN was born March 9, 1911, at Queen City, Mo., the son of John and Hattie VIA PRDEN.

He was married March 28, 1930, to Goldie SMITH who survives. He had made his home in Fairfield since 1926. PRUDEN was a member of the Eagles Lodge, had worked at the Universal Producing Company for the past 18 years and the family home in located at 603 W. Grimes.

In addition to his widow, PRUDEN in survived by one son, Gilbert M. PRUDEN, Fairfield; and four daughters, Mrs. Robert GLASS, Fairfield; Mrs. Thomas ROYER, Fairfield; Mrs. Kenneth DILLE, Birmingham; and Mrs. Melvin LUKE, Glasgow.

Other surviviors include 19 grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. John L. PRUDEN; two brothers, Baxter PRUDEN, Fairfield, and Earl PRUDEN, Roseville, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. James VICE, Fairfield, and Mrs. Cass PARKS, Lockridge.

He was preceded in death by his father.
