Gaylee Anne LAUFER

Gaylee Anne LAUFER, 62, of Fairfield, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at Fairfield VFW.

Memorials to the famly may be left at the memorial service or mailed to the family at 1076 63rd St., West Des Moines 50266.

Raymond Funeral Home of Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. LAUFER was born on May 4, 1950, in Fairfield the daughter of Artie and Norma GRIFFIN. She married Marvin LAUFER. They divorced. She married Ronald CHARLTON.

She grew up in Fairfield, and graduated from Indian Hills Community College with a degree in computer science.

She was employed as an executive assistant at Impacq Technologies in Fairfield.

In her younger years she was an avid baseball and softball player. She became her son's biggest fan watching from the stands.

She was an animal-lover, with a place in her heart for all furry creatures.

She also enjoyed reading and watching movies.

Survivors include her husband; one son Kris LAUFER and spouse Kate of West Des Moines; one step-son Butch and spouse Debbie of St. Louis, Mo.; one step-daughter Gail CHARLTON GARY and souse Philip of Brunswick, Maine; one brother Mike GRIFFIN and spouse Marie of Fairfield; one sister Kelly GRIFFIN MILLER of Fairfield; and ex-husband Marvin LAUFER.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
