John KELLER rites Monday

John R. KELLER, 79, of Route 3, died at 12:40 p.m. Friday at Jefferson County Hospital.

KELLER was born Sept. 7, 1905 in Jefferson County to Anthony J. and Sylvia P. LOVING KELLER. He married Bernice O. WARNING on Jan. 21, 1928 in Kahoka, Mo. KELLER lived his entire life in Jefferson County; he farmed in the Cedar Township area.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Wayne, Fairfield; and Melvin, Cantril; three daughters: Lois ROE, Keosauqua; Joyce BURTON, Ft. Madison; and Jean SCHUCK, Stockport; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary DROZ of Elgin, Ill.

Funeral services for KELLER will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. William Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Prayers for a Christian Wake will be Sunday evening at Behner Funeral Home.

Memorials to the heart fund or the diabetes association have been established.
