Duane SMITH

ARIZONA CITY - Duane L. SMITH, 75, of Arizona City died June 15, 2005 in Casa Grande.

A memorial gathering will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Moose Lodge 1038.

Mr. SMITH was born April 10, 1930 in Abingdon, Iowa, to Harry and Vera SMITH. He served in the Navy and worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Brian SMITH of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Kevin SMITH of Stow, Ohio; a daughter, Jodi SMITH of Phoenix; a brother, Gary SMITH of Columbia, Mo.; two sisters, Rhonda JUHLIN of Clear Lake, Iowa, and Betty HOOTMAN of Columbia; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Desda (NELSON), and a brother, Willard SMITH.

Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Note: Duane was my brother and Gary and I were both living in Brookfield, MO when he passed away.
