Carlos H. WATSON

Carlos H. WATSON, 87, 202 1/2 N. Main St., died at 7:25 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 1990, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Plain Friends Church with the Rev. Tim Haynie and the Rev. David Rogula officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery at Pleasant Plain. Family visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to Pleasant Plain Friends Church.

WATSON was born Sept. 11, 1903, in Veo, the son of Charles W. and Alda JONES WATSON. He married Helen E. BELL on July 2, 1930. A lifelong resident of Jefferson County, he was a farmer and salesman. He was a member of the Pleasant Plain Friend Church and a sponsor of Youth for Christ for many years.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Charles Eugene of Bloomington, Ill., Harold Keith of Richland, Gordon Paul of Washington, Iowa; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Four sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
