Ronald L. MOORE, 70 of Davenport and formerly of Eldon, died at 10:40 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2012, at his home in Davenport.
A graveside funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Eldon Cemetery, with the Rev. Dave Albert officiating.
Visitation with the family is from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday at Grace Funeral Care in Eldon.
Memorials of the donor's choice may be made in his name.
Mr. MOORE was born on Sept. 15, 1941, in Iowa City, the son of Ernest and Charlotte HANCHETT MOORE.
He was educated in the Muscatine area and graduated from Muscatine High School. He served in the United States Navy.
He was employed as a police officer in Eldon, Davenport and Muscatine. He also worked as a machinist at John Deere Ottumwa Works in Ottumwa, and in Rocky Top, Colo.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Survivors include two daughters, Lori BLEDSOE and spouse Jerry of Davenport, and Lisa TAYLOR and spouse Darren of Bloomfield; two sons, Ronnie MOORE and spouse Christy of Grinnell, and Andy MOORE of Rock Island, Ill.; several grandchildren; one brother, Bernard; and two sisters, Della and Jenny.
