D. DuBOIS Rites Set

Donald DuBOIS, 63, well known Fairfield resident and retired government grain inspector, died suddenly at 12:31 a.m. today at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City (note: in Johnson Co., IA).

Members of the family said he had been in his usual health until Sunday when he entered the hospital. His death was unexpected.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Wilson Hyde, former Fairfield minister, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

DuBOIS served as federal grain inspector for 30 years, most of that time in the St. Joseph, Mo., area, before his retirement. He was also a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Christian Church.

Donald D. DuBOIS was born Aug. 31, 1912, in Fairfield, the son of John and Bernice HUMPHREYS DuBOIS. He graduated from Fairfield High School and Parsons College, and spent his life in the Fairfield community other than the time he spent as grain inspector.

He was married Oct. 25, 1945, to Frances BELVEAL who survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Cynthia Ann, Iowa City. The family home is on Route 4.
