Carol Jean AMRINE, 79, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Jefferson County Health Center.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Scott Bieker officiating.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to the Amrine family, to: Kris Amrine 1524 Yarrow Blvd. Brighton 52540.
Mrs. AMRINE was born Dec. 7, 1932, the daughter of Edward and Etolla POTORFF BARKER, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield. She married Donald AMRINE in 1955 at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fairfield. He died Dec. 28, 1988 (sic - Dec. 29, 1988).
Mrs. AMRINE was raised by Florence and Edward BARKER from the age of 3.
She graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1950.
She retired from Metromail in Mount Pleasant, where she worked as a machine operator.
She enjoyed music, gardening, flowers and her cattle.
Survivors include two children, Gail BROWN and spouse Roger of Oskaloosa and Kris AMRINE of Brignton; three grandchildren; and two siblings, Darrell BARKER of Dubuque and Elizabeth BARKER BOWERS of Mount Lebanon, Pa.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
