Page 8, Column 4Lora Alvin LONG, 86, Fairfield R.#2, died today at Jefferson County Hospital. A retired farmer, long time resident of the Salina area. Bur. Evergreen. Born Jan. 7, 1873 in Walnut township, Jefferson County, son of Lewis and Mary (HAWK) LONG. Was a bachelor. Made his home with a sister, Letitia LONG, who survives. Also surviving is a foster son (sic - foster brother), Carl JAMES, Rogers, Ark. Member IOOF Lodge at Salina. One brother preceded him in death.
