DEATH TAKES LEWIS H. LONG
Well Known Jefferson County Farmer Died Early This Morning

Lewis H. Long, 88, passed away at t:30 o'clock this morning at his home 3 1-2 miles north of Salina. He was taken seriously ill one week ago Monday.

Funeral serivces will be held from the HOskins Funeral Home here at 2:00 o'clock, Thursday afternoon, with burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Mr. LONG was a well known Jefferson county resident, having been born and reared in Walnut township. His wife preceded him in death January 5, 1927. He is survived by children: L. A. LONG and Letitia LONG, at home; W. R. LONG of Wheaton, Ill., and a foster son, Carl JAMES of Des Moines. One sister, Mrs. Ed. DORSEY of Corydon, and three grandchildren, Clarive (sic - Clarice?) L. LONG, Victor R. LONG and Howard K. LONG, all of Wheaton, also survive.
