MRS. C. W. GREEN PASSED AWAY
Funeral Services Saturday Afternoon at 2; Interment At Evergreen

Mrs. Charles GREEN passed away last night at her home, 603 North Main street at 10 oclock. Mrs. GREEN has been in poor health for the past two years but her condition demanded the care of a trained nurse five weeks ago.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 oclock from the home in charge of Rev. T. S. Pool. Interment will take place at Evergreen.

Ella May McGAW was born April 6, 1882 (sic. that was her marriage date, not birth date. Born on October 16, 1863) in Jefferson county and has made her home here since. She is survived by her husband and one brother, Hugh MCGAW of this city.

LAST RITES FOR MRES. GREEN HELD

In Charge of Rev. Pool; Interment At Everegreen (sic) Cemetery

Funeral services for Mrs. Charles GREEN were held Saturday afternoon at 2 oclock from the home in charge of Rev. T. S. Pool. The following men served as pall bearers, Charles and Ray Clark, Scott Charlton, Wayne GREEN, Will Allender and Yates Knerr.

Mrs. L. W. Van Nostrand and Miss Cora Ball sang, "Rock of Ages," "Nearer My God To Thee" and "Jesus Lover of My Soul." Mrs. GREEN was laid to rest in the Evergreen cemetery.

MRS. CHARLES W. GREEN

Ella McGAW was born in Jefferson county, Iowa, Oct. 16, 1863. She was a daughter of Henry and Elizabeth PARK McGAW. On the 6th day of April 1882 she was united in marriage with Charles Wesley GREEN. The first 38 years of their married life was spent on a farm in Buchanan township, five years ago they retired from the farm, taking up their abode in Fairfield, where they have since resided. Mrs. GREEN had been in poor health for several years. Since last February her health gradually declined and she passed to her reward at 10:15 p.m. Oct. 28th at the age of 62 years and 12 days.

She is survived by her husband and one brother, Hugh McGAW residing near Fairfield. One sister passed away in 1918. In early life she was converted and united with the M. E. church at Richwoods. When the family left the farm she transferred her membership to First M. E. church in Fairfield.

She was a faithful soldier of the cross ready at all times to do her duty and make necessary sacrifices.

The funeral services conducted by Rev. T. S. Pool of Mt. Pleasant were held at the family residence 603 North Main street at 2:00 p. m. Saturday Oct. 31st, attended by a large company of relatives and friends. Interment was made at the Evergreen cemetery.

... --Perry GREEN, Olin GREEN and Mrs. Roy Haggert of Mankato, Kan., and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Horton of Beardstown, Ill., were here Saturday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Charles W. GREEN.
