Seven children survive the mother. Her only sister Mrs. HITE (sic - Arminpha), preceded her in death a few years. The last few years the deceased has been a sufferer of heart trouble. She never gave up to her bed until about three weeks ago. Since then gradually growing worse until the end came Wednesday evening.

Many years ago she united with the United Brethren Church in which she remained a faithful member to her death. She has been a resident of Jefferson and Henry counties all through her life making a host of friendswherever (sic) she was. She was a kind and loving mother and will be missed by all her friends and neighbors for she was always ready to lend a helping hand in sickness and in sorrow.

Funeral services were conducted by the writer Saturday, Feb. 24 at the German M. E. Church near Germanville, at 11 o'clock after which we laid her to rest by the side of her husband and children to wait the Master's call. So we say goodbye sister mother friend, till we meet again.
