Mabel J. PARKER rite Friday

BATAVIA - Mabel J. PARKER, 87, died Tuesday, July 26, 1888, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Batavia United Methodist Church with the Rev. Shirley Meendering officiating. Burial will be in the Brethern Cemetery southeast of Batavia. Visitation is open after 10 a.m. Thursday at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia.

Mrs. PARKER was born Oct. 14, 1900, in Wapello County southeast of Batavia, the daughter of John F. and Elizabeth STEWART STULL, and had spent most of her life in the Batavia community. She graduated from Batavia High School, attended normal training at Cedar Falls and had taught school at Pleasant Ridge in Wapello County. She was a member of Batavia United Methodist Church, Keep Young Club and County Line Ladies Club. She married Clifford PARKER Dec. 21, 1921, in Ottumwa. He died Jan. 5, 1971.

She is survived by three sisters, Edith GILTNER of Ottumwa, Nellie PEEBLER and Mildred FICKEL, both of Fairfield; several nieces and nephews. Two sisters preceded her in death.

Mabel PARKER

BATAVIA - Mabel J. PARKER, 87, died July 26, 1988, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

She was born Oct. 14, 1900, in Wapello County, southeast of Batavia, to John F. and Elizabeth STEWART STULL. She lived most of her life in Batavia, graduating from Batavia High School. She attended normal school at Cedar Falls and had taught school at Pleasant Ridge in Wapello County for three years. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Batavia, Keep Young Club of Fairfield and Countyline Ladies Club. She married Clifford PARKER Dec. 21, in Ottumwa. He died Jan. 5, 1971.
