Mary Evelyn CLOKE

Mary Evelyn CLOKE, 63, of Hope Haven Walton Group Home, died at 11:47 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. June 2 at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. Randall Gearhart officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham.

Visitation with family will be from 10-11 a.m. June 2 at Lunning Chapel, prior to the service.

Miss CLOKE was born June 23, 1948, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Lester and Mary CLUBBAGE CLOKE.

She worked at Hope Haven workshop. She enjoyed crafting, being with family, friends, her extended family at Hope Haven and spending time with her sister Rose. She loved singing and Elvis Presley.

She was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include four sisters, Rose SABEN of Burlington, Irma PATTERSON of Las Vegas, Helen WALKER of Mission, Texas and Margaret NELSON of Gardendale, Ala.; five brothers, Reuben CLOKE, James CLOKE, William CLOKE and Raymond CLOKE, all of Burlington and George CLOKE of East Brewton, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Robert CLOKE.
