Robert L. ROACH taken in death

Robert L. ROACH, 51, native of Fairfield, died Oct. 23 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo. where he had been a patient since Sept. 24. He is survived by his mother, Claire HICKENBOTTOM, Fairfield.

Services were held Oct. 25, at the Cater Funeral home in Moberly, Mo., and burial was in Oakland Cemetery.

Robert L. ROACH was born Nov. 24, 1930, in Fairfield and he graduated from the Fairfield High School in 1948.

He taught social studies at Russell and Hedrick High schools before moving to Missouri. He taugth in Salisbury and moved to the Moberly school system in 1968.

In addition to his widow, the former Louise HAZEN of Mt. Pleasant and his mother, ROACH is survived by two daughters, Jan TURNER and Cindy ROACH; a sister, Dorothy WHITHAM, Holstein; and a granddaughter.

The family home is at 701 Weintz St., Moberly, Mo; 65270.
