Edythe Mary LOONEY LAWSON, 88, of Indianapolis, former Fairfield resident, died Wednesday, June 16, 1993, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis.
Cremation has been completed and a graveside service will be conducted at Bethel Cemetery west of Birmingham at a later date.
Mrs. LAWSON was born July 29, 1904, at Washington, Iowa, the daughter of William Roy and Olive WAGNER LOONEY. She lived in Washington until she was 8, then lived on a farm east of Libertyville, attended Libertyville schools and graduated from Libertyville High School. On Sept. 14, 1922, she married Lawrence Henry LAWSON at the Christian church parsonage in Fairfield. He died Aug. 15, 1991. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fairfield and the Philathea Class there, and Daughters of Union Veterans.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth of Indianapolis, Donald of Colonia Heights, Va.; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. A son, Merle Gene, preceded her in death.
