RICHLAND - Lloyd BOTTORFF, 85, died Monday night, Dec. 1988, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Packwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Edith Dunkin and the Rev. Don Harbour officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. Family visitation will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Gould Funeral Home in Richland. A masonic service will held. A memorial has been established to the Richland Library.
BORTORFF was born Sept. 21, 1903, near Packwood, the son of Theodore and Ella BENNETT BOTTORFF. He grew up in the Packwood area and lived and farmed in that area until retiring in 1970 and moving to Richland. He married Bernice PEEBLER June 25, 1930. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Lou NORTHBRIDGE of Long Island, N.Y., Marcia POSTON of Phoenix, Ariz., and three granddaughters.
He was a member of Packwood United Methodist Church, Lions Club, was a 32nd-degree Mason, had been a Jefferson County ASC board member, a Blackhawk Township assessor and a Keokuk County assessor.
