Frank SHAFER rite Thursday

The service for Frank P. SHAFER, 95, Route 2, who died at 5:55 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, 1988, at Nelson Nursing Home, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to First Lutheran Church.

SHAFER was born June 8, 1893, near Fairfield, the son of Jacob and Henriette BERG SHAFER. He married Marjorie LYONS Aug. 12, 1925, in the Germanville Church. He farmed in Buchanan Township, Jefferson County, all of his life and was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Suviving are his wife; a daughter, Kathryn MOON of Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A daughter, Marilyn and four brothers, Andy, Henry, Eli and Samuel, preceded him in death.
