Robert O. NICHOLS

Robert O. NICHOLS, 70, died at 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 1996, at Veterans Administration Health Center in Knoxville.

The service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Wotherspoon officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to First Baptist Church.

NICHOLS was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Fairfield, the son of Ben and Grace ARMSTRONG NICHOLS. He grew up in Fairfield and attended Fairfield schools. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Surviving are his brother, Ray of Cedarberg, Wis.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Mae, Eunice, Edna, Dorothy; and a brother, Henry.
