Marie Melvina LITTLE

The service for Marie Melvina LITTLE, 90, 400 Highland St., who died at 6:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 29, 1996, at Jefferson County Hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard White officiating. Burial will be in Denmark Cemetery, Denmark, Iowa. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to Fairfield Public Library for children's books and to Jefferson County Hospital Long-term Care.

Mrs. LITTLE was born Jan. 10, 1906, in Fairfield, the daughter of Dr. T.C. and Ora WHITTINGTON. On Oct. 17, 1925, she married Horace LITTLE of Memphis, Mo. He died July 26, 1977. A lifelong resident of the Fairfield community, she worked at Fairfield Glove Factory and helped her husband farm.

She is survived by one brother, Floyd WHITTINGTON of San Antonio. Two brothers, Pat and Levi, preceded her in death.
