Fannie May LAWSON

Fannie May LAWSON, 87, of Village on the Park in Friendswood, Texas, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001, in Friendswood.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, with the Rev. Traverce Harrison officiating.

Family visitation will be held from 8-10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with graveside service at 11 a.m. Friends can register from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The Leukemia Society, Texas Gulf Coast Chapter, 10777 Northwest Freeway Suite 600, Houston, Texas 77092-7321.

Mrs. LAWSON was born Jan. 7, 1914, in Washington Township in Van Buren County, the daughter of Clarence Marion and Ede Estella WATSON SILVER. She married Walter Lavern LAWSON Feb. 14, 1935, in Fairfield. He died April 23, 1980 (sic - April 22, 1988).

She graduated from the Fairfield High School, with the class of 1932. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son, Walter William LAWSON and his wife Sandra of Kemah, Texas; two grandchildren, Jeff and Jeremy LAWSON; and two great-grandchildren, James and Alex LAWSON; and numerous loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one son, Richard LAWSON.
