Rites held for COUNTRYMAN

William "Bill" COUNTRYMAN, 66, of Albuquerque, N.M., died Sunday.

He was the son of John F. "Mont" and Verva COUNTRYMAN of Batavia, where he grew up.

COUNTRYMAN was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy and later worked for the federal government in Albuquerque. He was married to Wanda NELSON of Batavia.

Survivors include his wife, mother, one son, William, and a daughter, Martha, of Albuquerque; a daughter, Lynn VINCENT and husband, Rick of Ruidoso, N.M.; one granddaughter, Wendy VINCENT; and a sister, Mary COCHRAN of Ames. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Yvonne WHITE.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Albuquerque. Interment will be in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, N.M.

The family has established a memorial fund to MADD, Albuquerque Chapter, P.O. Box 36177, Albuquerque, N.M., 87176.
