B. ZIHLMAN Dies At 89

Mrs. John J. ZIHLMAN, 89, died Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital where she had been admitted Jan. 22. The family home is at 509 S. Fifth.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Karl Holtkamp officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the Raymond Funeral Home.

Bertha V. ZIHLMAN was born Nov. 4, 1887, in Jefferson County on a farm northeast of Lockridge. She was the daughter of D.V. and Carrie FARMAN CARLBORG. She spent her entire life in Jefferson County.

She was married Dec. 31, 1912, to John Joseph ZIHLMAN. He died Nov. 12, 1965.

Mrs. ZIHLMAN was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and Altar and Rosary Society Diocesan Council.

Survivors include one daughter, Frances ZIHLMAN, and a son, John ZIHLMAN, both at home; and a brother, Clarence CARLBORG, Lockridge.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. ZIHLMAN was preceded in death by one son and two brothers in infancy.
