Frances M. DANIELS

Frances M. DANIELS, 92, of Hokes Bluff, Ala. formerly of Douds, died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Gadsden Health Care Center, Gadsden, Ala.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds with the Rev. Michael Mosier officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Douds.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Cemetery and left at the funeral home or mailed to the family, 4142 Tawannah Circle East, Hokes Bluff, Ala. 35903.

Mrs. DANIELS was born July 15, 1919, in Farmington, the daughter of Rex and Eva PONTE KELLEY. She married Truman GREENFIELD of Douds; he died serving in the Navy during World War II. She married William Arthur DANIELS July 2, 1955, in Nashua. He died July 21, 1965.

Mrs. DANIELS graduated from Farmington High School in 1936. The DANIELS lived many years in Douds, operating the Douds Cafe and Daniels TV and Appliance. She moved to Alabama to be near her daughter Joyce WILSON.

Mrs. DANIELS was a dedicated Christian. She read the entire Bible every year for more than 40 years. She was active in Zion Bible Church in Douds and attended Cross Point Community Church in Alabama.

She enjoyed writing poetry and enjoyed her friends at church and at Hokes Bluff Nutrition Center, as well as spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth SNYDER and husband Dan of Carthage, Ill., and Joyce WILSON and husband Kerry of Hokes Bluff; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister Martha HEAVIN of Keokuk.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
