O. MAIRET Dies At 72

BATAVIA --- Mrs. Opal MAIRET, 72, died at Jefferson County Hospital at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The daughter of Leander and Victoria HENDRICK McCLEARY, Mrs. MAIRET was born Feb. 28, 1904 near Eldon. She lived in the Batavia community most of her life and was a member of the Batavia Gospel Lighthouse Church. On March 31, 1932 she married George MAIRET, who survives.

Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Labelle RIDGEWAY and Marjorie MAIRET, both of Fairfield, Mrs. Darlene LEAHY and Rosalie MAIRET, both of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Juanita JONES of Packwood; two sons, R. L. WEBB of Ottumwa and Gene MAIRET of Batavia.

Eight grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William WHITMORE and one brother, Ray McCLEARY, both of Batavia.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with burial in Batavia Cemetery.
