Dorothy KNOPP

Dorothy KNOPP, 78, of Fairfield died at 2:05 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be at Rock Creek Cemetery, west of Ollie (sic - in Keokuk County, IA).

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Friday, an hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Mrs. KNOPP was born Aug. 5, 1933, in Albia, the daughter of Gayle H. and Evelyn Lovina BILTERMAN CARTER. She married Raymond W. KNOPP May 10, 1953, at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fairfield.

Mrs. KNOPP graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1952 and the Ottumwa Beauty Academy. She centered her life on her home, family and friends. She has been a Fairfield resident for more than 50 years.

Survivors include her husband Raymond; two sons, Mike KNOPP and wife Joyce, and Phillip KNOPP; one daughter, Gayle KNOPP; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, all of Fairfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
