Dwight BROWN taken in death

Word had been received here of the death of A. Dwight BROWN, 76, native of Fairfield, who died recently at the home of his daughter in Long Branch, N.J.

BROWN was a former music teacher, violinist and conductor. Before his retirement 15 years ago, he had taught music in the school system at Plainfield, N.J.

He was a violinist with the Plainfield Symphony and the Garden State Philharmonic, Toms River; and was a former conductor of the New Jersey All State Orchestra. BROWN was a founding member of the Union County Band and Orchestra, Roselle Park; and a member of the Monmouth Symphony and Plainfield Music Club.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, two daughters, 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchhildren and a brother.

A. Dwight BROWN was the son of Clifford and Bessie BROWN. The father operated a monument company in Fairfield for a number of years before moving to Fort Madison.
