Rites will be Tuesday

Wilbur Clair ANDERSON, 60, Rural Route 1, died at his home July 3.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Salina Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ted Whitham officiating. Interment will be in the Salina Cemetery with the Raymond Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Family visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.

Wilbur Clair ANDERSON was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Jefferson County. He was the son of Carl J. and Maude KRUMBOLTZ ANDERSON and was married Sept. 28, 1947, to Helen VANCHURA.

He lived most of his life in the Salina Community. He was a 1937 graduate of the Fairfield High School and a veteran of the Army Air Corps serving during World War II. He was presented the Distinguished Flying Medal.

Prior to his military service, he was employed as a civilian employee of the Veterans Administration in Washington, D.C. He was a farmer and a member of the Salina Presbyterian Church.

Suvivors include two sons, Tim ANDERSON, Martin, S.D., and Monte Joseph ANDERSON, serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in Georgia; four brothers, Merlyn, Gerald and Clarence, all of Brighton, and William, Fairfield.

Also two sisters, Marjorie RUSSELL, Fairfield, and Dorothy MIDDLEKOOP, Batavia.
