Edith KYLE dies in Illinois

Edith A. KYLE, 81, Macon, Ill., former Fairfield resident, died at 1:30 a.m. Sunday, May 22, 1988, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Ill.

A graveside service and inurment will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating. Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to E.H. Kyle, Box 292, Macon, Ill. 64544.

Mrs. KYLE was born Nov. 12, 1906, at LeGrand, the daughter of Ira and Maude WELKER GAUNT. She graduated from Parsons College in 1932 and had taught elementary school in Iowa and Illinois for 27 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Macon and the Macon Women's Club. She married E.H. KYLE Feb. 22, 1942, in Marshall County. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sylvia KYLE of Cupertino, Calif., Alice de la FUENTE of Mission, Texas; a son, Allan of Athol, Idaho; eight grandchildren; a brother and a sister, Dean GAUNT and Mable CAMPBELL, both of LeGrand; nieces and nephews.
