DAVIS Rites at Packwood

PACKWOOD - Mrs. Zona DAVIS, 84, longtime resident of Jeffeson County, died at 10:35 p.m. Thursday at the Keokuk County Hospital in Sigourney. She had been seriously ill the past nine days.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Packwood Christian Church with the Rev. Kenneth Breeze officiating. Burial will be in the Packwood Cemetery. The Weston Behner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Zona DAVIS was born Sept. 27, 1891, in Camden County, Mo. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel POPE. Mrs. DAVIS was a member of the Packwood Christian Church.

She was married Feb. 12, 1910, to Walter S. DAVIS. He died March 5, 1966. Mrs. DAVIS had lived in Jefferson and Wapello Counties for 55 years.

Survivors include two sons, Lee DAVIS, Fairfield; Orville DAVIS, Route 3, Ottumwa; two grandchildren; one brother, L.M. POPE, Bondurant; and a sister, Mrs. Martha HILLHOUSE, Whittier, Calif.
