Henry HOSTETTER, 81, 702 W. Briggs, died Thusday afternoon at the Ottumwa Hospital. A retired Dexter employe(e), he had been in failing health the past two years.
The body will lie in state at the Weston Behner Funeral Home tonight and Saturday. The funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m., at the Fair View Baptist Church near Pollock, Mo. Military rites and interment will be at the Campbell cemetery nearby.
HOSTETTER was born April 25, 1893, at Pollock, Mo., the son of William and Amanda HINES HOSTETTER.
He was married to Mary L. CAMPBELL on Feb. 9, 1922. He had lived in this community since 1948 and was employed by the Dexter Co. He was a veteran of World War I.
HOSTETTER is survived by his wife, one son, and three daughters, John D. HOSTETTER of West Burlington, Roberta PRUDEN of Fairfield, Joan CHESTER and Lenora JONES, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Elva HOSTETTER of Milan, Mo., and one sister, Maude HOLLIDAY of Bakersfield, Calif.
He was preceded in death by two sons, six brothers and two sisters.
