Dwight 'Sarge' Eugene ROULET

Dwight "Sarge" Eugene ROULET, 90, of Pella, formerly of Davis County, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at home.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski, with the Rev. Darrel Zook officiating. Military rites will be given by Reed Whisler Post No. 78 of the American Legion in Bloomfield.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the family present from 5-6:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established to his family.

Mr. ROULET was born June 26, 1921, in Pulaski, the son of Samuel and Fannie M. MAURER ROULET. He married Elaine WALKER Aug. 22, 1959, in Fairfield.

He was a farmer and had worked for the city of Bloomfield, retiring July 8, 1983. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of Reed Whisler Post No. 78 in Bloomfield. He was a member of Pulaski Mennonite Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scott ROULET and wife Becky of Libertyville and Brent ROULET of Des Moines; one daughter, Melinda THOMAS and husband Ed of Pella; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harvey ROULET of Bloomfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Sam ROULET Jr.
