Mrs. GOBBLE Dies At 93

Mrs. Bruce GOBBLE, 93, 704 S. Main St., died Wednesday at 10:40 p.m. at the Parkview Care Center. She had been a resident of Fairfield since 1904.

Funeral services are tentatively planned Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John R. Dilley officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of the Raymond Funeral Home.

Mrs. GOBBLE was the former Mary Vera ATCHISON. She was born July 24, 1881 in Albia, the daughter of the Rev. Hugh S. and Margretta VALLENTINE ATCHISON (sic. maiden name of her mother was BALLANTINE, not VALLENTINE). She was reared and educated in Albia.

Mrs. GOBBLE and her husband, R. Bruce GOBBLE (sic. Robert Bruce GOBBLE), were classmates at Parsons College, graduating in 1904. The were married Sept. 29, 1904 in Albia. Mr. GOBBLE, a long-time Fairfield merchant, died Sept. 5, 1974.

Mrs. GOBBLE was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. She was also the senior member of Chapter C, PEO, joining that organization in 1907.

Surviving are one son, Lee GOBBLE, Fairfield; one sister, Alice ATCHISON, a resident of Parkview Care Center; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

One son and two brothers are deceased.

... --Mrs. Pauline GOBBLE of Idaho Falls, Idaho is visiting in Fairfield for about a week. She was called here by the death of Mrs. R. Bruce GOBBLE, mother of her late husband, Jack GOBBLE. She is making her headquarters with her sister, Mrs. Walter LAMM, just south of the city limits.

TO ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN THE ESTATE OF MARY VERA GOBBLE, DECEASED:

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT ON THE 30TH DAY OF MAY, 1975, THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF MARY VERA GOBBLE, DECEASED BEARING DATE OF THE 14H DAY OF AUGUST, 1972, WAS ADMITTED TO PROBATE IN THE ABOVE NAMED COURT AND THAT LEE T. GOBBLE WAS APPOINTED EXECUTOR OF SAID ESTATE.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ANY ACTION TO SET ASIDE SAID WILL MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF SAID COUNTY WITHIN ONE YEARFROM THE DATE OF THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, OR THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN THAT ALL PERSONS INDEBTED TO SAID ESTATE ARE REQUESTED TO MAKE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT TO THE UNDERSIGNED, AND CREDITORS HAVING CLAIMS ATAINST (sic) SAID ESTATE SHALL FILE THEM WITH THE CLERK OF THE ABOVE NAMED DISTRICT COURT, AS PROVIDED BY LAW, DULY AUTHENTICATED, FOR ALLOWANCE; AND UNLESS SO FILED WITHIN SIX MONTHS FROM THE SECOND PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE (UNLESS OTHERWISE ALLOWED OR PAID) SUCH CLAIM SHALL THEREAFTER BE FOREVER BARRED.

... --Mrs. Robert EDWARDS (Mary GOBBLE) and children Rob and Janice arrived Tuesday from Idaho Falls, Ida. for a visit with Mary's aunt, Mrs. Walter LAMM and with her uncle, Lee GOBBLE. Her sister, Marcia (Mrs. Ken BROWNLEE) and two children, Bruce and Nancy, arrived Friday to spend some time with relatives here. Their mother, Mrs. Jack GOBBLE, was called here from Idaho Falls by the death of her mother-in-law, Mrs. R. Bruce GOBBLE, and will accompany Mary home next week.
