Edna Belle BEERY, 77, of Ankeny, died Friday, March 29, 1996, at Luther Park Health Care Center in Des Moines. She had suffered a stroke. A memorial service was held April 1 at Ankeny Family Worship Center. Hamilton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. BEERY was born north of Batavia in Jefferson County to Charles E. and Ollie I. FULLER MILLER. She married Charlie LONGERBONE in 1938. He died in March 1975. She married Lloyd BEERY in November 1980. He died in July 1992.
She attended the Open Bible College in Des Moines and had been a photographer with Ramsey Studio. She lived in Des Moines for several years before moving to Ankeny in 1992. She was a member of Ankeny Family Worship Center.
She is survived by a son, Gary LONGERBONE of Des Moines; a daughter, Sharon BRADEN of Des Moines; two stepsons, Ray and Robert BEERY, both of Des Moines; a stepdaughter, Doris LEVINE of Boise, Idaho; three sisters, Helen PETTIT of Des Moines, Katherine MILLER of Batavia and Phyllis SPANIER of Richland; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, an infant daughter; and two brothers, Glenn and Earl, preceded her in death.
