Monday Feb. 3, 1975SCHLARBAUM Dies At 66
Iliff L. "Jack" SCHLARBAUM, 66, died suddenly at 3:40 a.m. today at his home at 810 W. Depot Ave. Last rites are pending at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.
SCHLARBAUM was employed at the Dexter Co. for 27 years before his recent retirement.
He was born Oct. 14, 1908 in Henry county, the son of Frank and Sophia SCHADT SCHLARBAUM. Most of his life was spent in Van Buren and Jefferson Counties. He was married May 31, 1970 to Cecil R. GIRE (sic. Cecil R. COX; married three times herself - Cyrus WINTERS/ Emery GIRE/Iliff L. "Jack" SCHLARBAUM).
Surviving are his widow; one son, Merle SCHLARBAUM, Fairfield; one daughter, Mrs. Robert KRAMER, El Paso, Tex.; nine stepchildren, five grandchildren and 13 step-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters: Mrs. Elsie HELMHOUDT, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Velma ANDERSON, Fort Madison; Mrs. Lola NEDROW, Douds; and Mrs. Ruth COUNTRYMAN, Birmingham.
SCHLARBAUM was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Eagles Lodge.
