DEATH TAKES J. SHEMANSKI

J.P. SHEMANSKI, 56, former resident of the Richwoods community, died at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday at the Jefferson county hospital where he had been a patient since Tuesday. He had been in failing health a year and in serious condition the past three months.

Last rites will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. Father H. M. Thoman in charge. Burial will be in the Polishville cemetery near Pleasant Plain.

The body will be taken today from the Hoskins funeral home to the family home at 302 North B street where the Rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m. Friday.

John Peter SHEMANSKI was born July 2, 1890, in Jefferson county, the son of the late Peter and Katherine (sic. Kathrine) DRISH SHEMANSKI. On September 5, 1911, he was united in marriage to Pauline BISKEY. They moved to Fairfield from the Richwoods community a year ago. He had been a resident of Jefferson county all his life.

Besides his wife, Mr. SHEMANSKI is survived by his wife (sic.) and two children, Mrs. Verl HAGANS (sic. Mrs. Verle HAGANS), and Elroy, at home. One brother, Peter, Pleasant Plain, two sisters, Mrs. Frank BURKE and Mrs. Harry KENNEDY, both of Fairfield, also survive.
