F. DOUGLAS Dies at 74

H. Floyd DOUGLAS, 74, Fairfield Route 1, died Saturday at 12:20 p.m. at University Hospitals in Iowa City where he was admitted earlier in the day.

He had been in failing health for a year and seriously ill for the past few days. Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Hickman and the Rev. Ed Dorman officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

DOUGLAS was born Oct. 24, 1901 Jefferson County, the son of Milton and Nellie BOWERMASTER DOUGLAS. He was reared and educated in this community. A retired farmer, he cut and sold firewood for a number of years.

DOUGLAS was never married. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Orin WARD, Fairfield; one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by one sister. He is affiliated with the Christian Church.
