Eugene Merle MUNTZ

Eugene Merle MUNTZ, 93, of Farmington, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012, at home.

A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Farmington, with Lee McIntosh officiating. Burial, with military rites by Farmington American Legion, will be at Thompson Cemetery in rural Bonaparte.

Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and 9-10 a.m. Thursday, with the family, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made in Mr. MUNTZ's memory.

Mr. MUNTZ was born Dec. 4, 1918, in rural Farmington, the son of Robert and Hazel LERCHE MUNTZ.

Mr. MUNTZ was a lifelong farmer.

He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Italy and North Africa during World War II.

Mr. MUNTZ was a member of Farmington American Legion and Farmington Rod and Gun Club.

He enjoyed hunting, farming and being outdoors.

Survivors include one sister, Doris WALLJASPER of St. Louis Park, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, infant Stanley MUNTZ, Robert Densmore MUNTZ and William MUNTZ; and one sister, Jessie MUNTZ.
