E. BISTLINE Dies At 48

C. Edward BISTLINE, Tama, businessman and former Fairfield resident, died Friday at a Marshalltown hospital following a long illness. He was 48.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Tama.

Committal services will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City. The body is at the Harrison Funeral Home in Tama. A memorial fund has been established to the Cancer Society.

He is suvived by his wife, Dona; a son, Dennis; and a daughter, Barbara. One brother and three sisters also suvive.

The BISTLINE family came to Fairfield from Bloomfield in 1957 when BISTLINE was named agency manager of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau Insurance Services. He remained in the insurance business until 1964 when he joined the staff of the Perry Clothing Store.

BISTLINE left here in 1972 when he purchased his own clothing business in Tama. Mrs. BISTLINE was employed at the Young America Shop in Fairfield. Dennis BISTLINE has been associated with his father in the Tama store.
