Daniel Carrol GOEHRING

Daniel Carrol GOEHRING, 92, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Chariton Nursing & Rehab Center in Chariton.

A funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Nate Nims officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery, south of Libertyville.

Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Cards and memorials may be sent to Judy Shafer at 1401 Court Ave., Chariton 50049.

Mr. GOEHRING was born Jan. 4, 1920, near Libertyville, the son of Andrew Louie GOEHRING and Hazel HILL GOEHRING. He married Helen Marie LAUGHLIN Aug. 29, 1946, at Mount Moriah Church in Douds. She preceded him in death.

Mr. GOEHRING graduated from Libertyville High School. He was a farmer in Buchanan Township and lived most of his life in the Fairfield area.

Survivors include four children: Melvin GOEHRING of Fairfield, Bob GOEHRING and wife Terry of Monticello, Wis., Judy SHAFER and husband Joe of Chariton and Donald GOEHRING and wife Rhonda of Council Bluffs; two brothers: Glen GOEHRING of Marion and Raymond GOEHRING of Fairfield; one sister: Mable BERG of Waverly; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Keith GOEHRING and Karl GOEHRING; and two sisters: Ferne MINEART and Darlene REYNOLDS.
