GOEHRING, Helen Marie -- Helen Marie GOEHRING, 80, of Fairfield, died Thursday, May 10, 2007, at home.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Greg Baum officiating. Interment will follow in Fell Cemetery in Libertyville.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Faith Baptist Church. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1401 Court Ave., Chariton 50049.

Mrs. GOEHRING was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Hunnewell, Mo., the daughter of Leonard and Mary BAIRD LAUGHLIN. She married D. Carroll GOEHRING Aug. 29, 1946, at Mount Moriah Church in Douds.

Mrs. GOEHRING's family moved to Jefferson County, and she grew up in Douds. She graduated from Douds High School in 1945 and then attended beauty school.

She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

In addition to spending time with her family, her hobbies included quilting and gardening.

Survivors include her husband; four children, Melvin GOEHRING of Fairfield, Robert GOEHRING and wife Terry of Monticello, Wis., Judy SHAFER and husband Joe of Chariton and Don GOEHRING and wife Rhonda of Council Bluffs; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Howard LAUGHLIN of Douds.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy TEDROW and Evelyn GOEHRING.
