GIBERSON, Velma M. RUNYON -- Velma M. RUNYON GIBERSON, 97, formerly of Stockport, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Park Place Care Center in Mount Pleasant.
A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stockport Christian Church in Stockport, with the Rev. John Griffith officiating. Interment will be in Spencer Cemetery in Stockport.
Visitation, with the family present, will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Memorials may be made to Stockport Christian Church or Park Place Care Center in Mount Pleasant. Cards and memorials may be sent to 711 E. Madison St., Mount Pleasant 52641.

Mrs. GIBERSON was born Jan. 31, 1910, in Stockport, the daughter of William F. and Laura WATSON RUNYON. She married George H. GIBERSON May 28, 1928, in Fairfield. He died Sept. 11, 1980.
Mrs. GIBERSON was a farm homemaker.
She was a member of Stockport Christian Church and Ladies Aid.
She enjoyed living on a farm, traveling and recording family events with picture albums and newspaper clippings, as well as quilting.
Survivors include seven children, Dwight GIBERSON and wife Shirley of Hillsboro, Rama DOROTHY and husband Richard of Mount Pleasant, Marylin SHELLEDY and husband Carey of Fairland, Okla., Dwynlin "Bud" GIBERSON and wife Minette of Keosauqua, Kay BAILEY and husband Gerald of Salem, Karen STARK and husband Larry of Stockport and Lucille GODWIN and husband Rex of Fairfield; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Coleen COCHRAN; one son, Dwane GIBERSON; two sons-in-law, Roger SWAILES and Marshall COCHRAN; two grandchildren; and one brother, Leslie RUNYON.
