GAVRE, Vincent 'Vince' -- Vincent "Vince" GAVRE, 92, of Waukesha, Wis., died Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.

A private family service will be held at a later date. The body will be cremated.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Cards and memorials may be sent to 1000 Pleasant Plain Road, No. 202, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. GAVRE was born April 5, 1914, in Port Edwards, Wis., the son of John and Elizabeth SHIPINSKY GAVRE. He married Eleanor BLOOHM. She died Nov. 8, 1989, in Tucson, Ariz.

Mr. GAVRE was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a captain. He was employed as a teacher and coach in the Waukesha school system in Waukesha, Wis.

Survivors include two sons, Marshall GAVRE of Fairfield and Kevin GAVRE of Waukesha, Wis., and two grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
