PIONEER RESIDENT HAS PASSED AWAY

Mrs. E. COREY died at her home in Fairfield Thursday night at 11:30 o'clock. She was born in Sweden March 3rd, 1830, and came to this country in 1857.

In 1860 she was united in marriage to Eric (sic - Erik) COREY and has lived in this county ever since, resideing (sic) for the past 40 years in Fairfield at 302 North Fifth street.

To this union were born five children, three sons and two daughters. One son died in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. Laura AHLIN, passed away seven years ago. She is survived by her husband and the following children: S. A. COREY of Hiteman, Ia., O. R. COREY and Mrs. J. S. GAUMER of this city. Three grandchildren also survive her.

Mrs. COREY was a member of the Swedish Lutheran Church at Four Corners and was a devoted Christian, a loving mother and a sympathetic neighbor.

The funeral will be held from the residence Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment will be at Evergreen cemetery.
