Page 1, Column 6MRS. SWANSON DIED FRIDAY EVENING.
Mrs. Christina SWANSON died last evening at the home of her daughter Mrs. Henry PETERSON on West Burlington street after an illness of only a few days. Mrs. SWANSON was one of the best known of the older residents of this county.
She was born in Sweden December 13, 1827 and grew to young womanhood there. In 1844 she was united in marriage to Henry SWANSON and resided in Sweded until Mr. SWANSON's death a few years ago. To the couple were born eight children four of whom have gone before. Alone at the age of 78 Mrs. SWANSON crossed the ocean and came to Fairfield in 1889 to make her home with her children who were already here.
Mrs. SWANSON was a staunch member of the Lutheran church during her life. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Henry PETERSON, of this city; Mrs. Andrew PETERSON, of Perlee;; August SWANSON of Libertyville and Emil SWANSON of Wisconsin. There are also surviving twenty-two grand children and ten great grand children.
The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'cl0ck (sic) at the residence and will be conducted by Rev. W. A. Wolgemuth of the Lutehran church. The interrment (sic) will be made inEvergreen (sic) cemetery.

Note: Buried in Lot SDiv.1-010. She is on the gravestone of her daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Henry PETERSON. Her birthdate is noted on the stone as December 13, 1821, in contrast to the 1827 noted above.
