Dale DARRAH, 55, a resident of the Iowa Veterans Home, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the home.
A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday at the Iowa Veterans Home Cemetery. The body has been cremated.
No visitation is planned.
Memorials may be directed to Mr. DARRAH's family.

Mr. DARRAH was born July 23, 1956, in Missouri, the son of Frank and Sarah RICHMOND DARRAH.
Mr. DARRAH served in the United States Army and returned to Missouri to be with family after his honorable discharge. He became a resident of Iowa Veterans Home in the late 1970s.
Mr. DARRAH enjoyed reading and spent a lot of time at the library.
Survivors include two sisters: Ruth BRIGGS of Libertyville and Mary BOWNER of New Orleans.

Dale was born July 23, 1956, in Memphis, Mo., the son of Frank and Sarah RICHMOND DARRAH.
Dale attended school in Burlington, Iowa. He served in the United States Army and returned to Fairfield, Ia., to be with family after his honorable discharge. He became a resident of the Iowa Veterans Home in 1997.
Dale enjoyed reading and spent a lot of time at the library.
Survivors include: two sisters: Ruthie BRIGGS, Libertyville, Ia., and Mary BONNER, New Orleans, La. One niece and six nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two siblings: Frances DARRAH, Frank DARRAH Jr., and two nephews.
